If your situation changes?

Death

If you die, we arrange an income for your partner and any children.

Does any information need to be provided?

If you reside in the Netherlands and are registered at the municipality, this is not necessary. If you die, the municipality advises us. If you live abroad or are not registered at the municipality when you die, your surviving dependants must report your death to us. This can be done by sending a letter or e-mail with a copy of your death certificate.

What has been arranged in the Basic Scheme?

If you die, Flexsecurity pays your pension capital to your partner or any children. If the available amount exceeds the commutation limit, a lifelong monthly pension must be purchased with it from an insurer of choice.

If there are no surviving dependants, your pension capital reverts to our pension fund.

Check which scheme applies to you.

What has been arranged in the Plus Scheme?

If you die, Flexsecurity pays your pension capital to your partner or any children. If the available amount exceeds the commutation limit, a lifelong monthly pension must be purchased with it from an insurer of choice.

If you die during your employment, a partner’s pension and an orphans’ pension are insured from the term insurance. The amount of these pensions depends on the annual pension basis and the time remaining until retirement date.

If there are no surviving dependants, your pension capital reverts to our pension fund.

Surviving Dependants Act (ANW)

Your partner and children may further be entitled to a government benefit under the Surviving Dependants Act (ANW). The conditions can be obtained from the Social Insurance Bank
