How do you accrue pension?

The AOW is the statutory state pension. You accrue AOW pension over 50 years. You accrue AOW pension only if you reside and/or work in the Netherlands. The age at which you receive AOW pension depends on your date of birth – the AOW age is set to rise over the next few years. The amount is also not
the same for everyone.
