How do you accrue pension?

Division of contributions between employer and employee

Your employer pays the contribution for your pension accrual. You contribute towards this by paying an employee’s contribution, which is deducted from your salary. The total contribution amounts to 12% of the pension basis. In addition to the defined contribution to be invested for the accrual of pension capital, this pension scheme also has contributions for the insurance of partner’s and orphans’ pension and continued pension accrual if you become incapacitated for work. The contributions for this insurance plus the operating costs are paid from the difference between the defined contribution and the contribution paid. Your contribution is shown on your payslip. You pay one-third and your employer pays two-thirds of the total contribution.

The regulations set out precisely what you will receive in our pension scheme. The regulations can be downloaded here (in Dutch).
